Seanachaí den scoth – Niall de Bύrca – Irish storyteller

In early 2024, the Embassy organised the visit of the remarkable Niall de Bύrca who performed at the Lagos Theatre Festival in Freedom Park, Lagos as well as meeting traditional and contemporary storytellers in Abuja. We had lots of great Friends of Ireland in Nigeria join us in Freedom Park – thanks to Guinness for the amazing cocktails also! Niall travelled onto Ghana & performed with local storytellers in the University of Ghana & the Ghana Club in Accra. Niall travelled with the support of Culture Ireland and he is a history maker as he was the very first Irish performer at the Festivals in Lagos and Accra.
