Friends of Ireland in Nigeria is a community-led initiative to work with Team Ireland to support the depening and enhancement of all aspects of the relationship between the Irish and Nigerian people.

We will partner with all organisations in Nigeria and in Ireland to promote closer business links, showcase our shared cultures and bring people together to celebrate the  flourishing connections our nations enjoy.

We will team up with partners to host and join events that bring together alumni of universities on the Island of Ireland, enabling them to network with members of our wider community, including those who have attended schools in Nigeria with Irish heritage links.  This will help all involved to build their understanding of the many opportunities in key sectors including technology, finance, agri-food, education and health

Creating opportunities to share our culture will be an important aspect of our work. We will partner with the Embassy to build on the success of the initial Siamsa gatherings in Lagos & Abuja, bringing Irish & Nigerians together to share our literature, poetry, storytelling & music.

We will also look to support opportunities for musicians, writers & artists from each country to come together with their counterparts & to showcase their work.
