Mrs Teresa Ryan in Abuja and our Honorary Consul Connie Guilfoyle in Lagos hosted wonderful evenings for Friends of Ireland to celebrate inspirational women to mark Saint Brigid’s Day. This year's events featured a wonderful African family story retold by Yewande Amusan and Aduke Gomez. With the support of the Embassy, copies of their book will be distributed to schoolchildren across Nigeria. Huge thanks to Connie and his colleague Jody for the generous training scholarships at ETIWA Vocational Training Institute presented at the event in Lagos. And to Stephanie for the unique Saint Brigid’s crosses crafted from traditional adure – a special blend of Nigeria and Ireland.
