SIAMSA at Lagos Book and Art Festival
For the third successive year, the Friends of Ireland (FOIN) joined up with the Embassy at the Lagos Book and Art Festival (LABAF) held at the iconic Freedom Park.
For the 27th edition of LABAF, our own Bean an Tí Aduke Gomez hosted a SIAMSA evening of storytelling which featured one of our locally based FION members, Stanley Evans, whose brilliant got us all thinking about connectedness. Thanks also to Richard Morgan for being a good sport by playing the part of the elephant in a wonderful rendition of a traditional Yoruba story. Dele Sikuade who had us all laughing at his memorable adventure in the back garden and the young and not so young poets who took to the stage.
Great work by the Committee for Relevant Art (CORA) and Jahman Anikulapo and his colleagues.
